This is a competitive team composed of players from all different backgrounds and across the country. We look for players who love hockey and are willing to commit in order to achieve at the college level. There is not a clear cut experience needed. There are tryouts and the best players are chosen as a result.

We do not offer scholarships and do not guarantee a spot on the team before tryouts. However, we do reach out to prospective players who we believe would be a good fit and are willing to talk to interested players as well.

We have on-ice practices twice a week and an off ice session once a week. Additionally, we have film reviews and team meetings that are scheduled depending on the week. We have 2 games some weekends and travel to our opponents as needed.

We are part of the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and the Central Collegiate Women's Hockey Association (CCWHA) and play approximately 20-25 games each season. We are required to play every team in the CCWHA and we also supplement our schedule with game against other ACHA teams outside the CCWHA.

We play in both the ACHA and CCWHA leagues and travel to play the teams within them. The bus is great bonding time for our players as we travel across the country!

We have on-ice practice Tuesday and Thursday evenings and off-ice Monday at 9:15 PM.

Yes , there is a cost to play on the team. While we receive funding, it does not cover all expenses.

Yes, players must remain in good standing with the University and maintain a passing grade in all of their classes. We pride ourselves in having a very academically focused team.

Tryouts will be held Tuesday, September 5th at 6:30 pm and Thursday, September 9th at 5:45 pm.
